Meet The Facilitator
Monique Turner is passionate about entrepreneurship, advocating for youth, recidivism, and emotional intelligence. After serving 5yrs in federal prison she decided that she had everything to lose hustling in the streets and nothing to lose if she followed her purpose.
She co-founded Family Purpose in 2013 with her wife. Together they have served over 20,000 students helping them overcome the daily social emotional issues through the lens of emotional intelligence. She has worked with educators, parents and administrators to bridge the gap between everyone involved in the students best interest.
While advocating for youth she found herself having to advocate for herself to expunge her record and avoid all the negative chatter surrounding her past.
She found peace through writing. She had never wrote a full essay in school, but now she was writing her first book to help her students navigate through social media in a positive way. Monique has gone on to self publish multiple self-help books, children’s books, and journals. She’s also the CEO of Never Personal Always Purpose. A consulting company that helps schools, organizations and prisons reduce recidivism and the school to prison pipeline.
Her mission is to help individuals that feel stuck, lost, hopeless, confused, or unhappy find their peace through writing like she did.
